Guy's it was a night of high winds.... it blew a tree down in front of my house going across the road.... glad it was the ladies tree across from me, cuz an SUV came by at a high rate of speed and cut the thing in two.... plus going air born for a bit.

Then a Tornado touched down in Polson, and I don't have any pics of that yet just the news from the Missoulian Newspaper, but they said it looked like a war zone down there.

This was totally abnormal weather that hit us.

Hope all is OK JB and all you have is clean up. This year had been different in the weather department. Some strange things going on with Mother Nature for sure. Had one of those tornados take the shingles off the back side of my roof and snapped three trees off at the ground several years ago. It can be downright scary!

The storm hit hard guys.... here is the news from yesterday this morning.

http://www.dailyinterlake.com

My wife and I had to go to Helena yesterday, and drove thru some areas hit by the high winds. All I can say is that we were lucky not to have had more damage etc.

No lives lost, but the roof from a Grand Stand for an outside rodeo area blew off striking a horse and killing it, as the horse was probably taking cover behind the Grand Stand area to get a buffer from the wind.

Many living in the more open areas were very lucky as well, but some sustained major to minor damages. Some where without insurance coverage as they were living in run down mobile homes and lost everything when a mobile home split right in two when hit broadside.

Our trip over to Helena and back was nice though.
