Hi guys,

So I was thinking of rebarreling my trusty 77/357. Reason being is I only shoot 158 grain and 245 grain (cast 35 Whelen) bullets out if it. Its currently 1:16.

Do you think I'd get any better accuracy in say a 1:14, with the longer bullets? I have never shot a 110 grain or 125 grain bullet in any of my 357's, even my revolvers. So seems to reason, to me, might as well suit the rifle to me. Just not sure if it's worth it.

Thanks for any advice here.

What kind of velocity can you expect wwith a 245 grain cast bullet. I assume that would be in a plinkerround.

I've chrono'd it at around 1,025 FPS. I use this round supressed. Has same energy, if not a tad more than 300 Blk Out subsonic. Its pretty quiet, too.

I've also gotten the 158 up at around 1,900 FPS. This is using Lil Gun. It's why I havent bought a 350 Legend yet. Only thing gained would be a larger magazine. But I'm working on that, too for this rifle.
