I am new to the forum, but do not even qualify as a Ruger newbie yet. While I have used friend's firearms periodically over the years, I have never owned one. I have decided to buy a GP-141. It will still be a few months before I can have the money, but I will let you all know how it goes.

Thanks for making this such a great place for me to learn.

Mr. Nettles, I hope you don't mind my quick and cheap ripoff of your wonderful badges. I plan on changing clubs soon.

Welcome cruelshoes. The GP is a great gun to start out your Ruger armory. Clean it good then Dry fire the heck out of it. The more the better and it will smooth up considerably. That's another good reason to look for a used gun in good condition besides the price. Gotta break them in good.
