I've tried some H110 with 300 and 250 grn XTPs and although fun, I just couldn't get comfortable punishing my NM Blackhawk like that. I've been looking for a good hunting load and finally found one I really like, that doesn't have the kick of an ornery old mule. I loaded up some different loads with Titegroup from 8 grns in .2 grn increments up to 9.4 grns. I settled at 8.6. I ended up with the best group measuring 1" @25 yrds. 8 grns. was supposed to shoot at aprox. 983. Now for some longer range shooting which I didn't have time for tonight as the light was fading. I know I'd be better off with a heavy cast bullet with a big ole mepla, but I don't have that mold yet nor the antimony to harden up my lead to shoot those velocities. I'll get there soon enough. I didn't get the chrono out but will this weekend. I think those XTPs are probably moving fast enough to function alright.
