Lasermax's add has a diclaimer that states lasermax 10/22 will not fit the 50'th Anniversary Ruger 10/22.

Because it has the Ruger American Rimfire stock on it. This stock is free-floated and does mot have a barrel band.

Now, if you have a standard 10/22 with a barrel band (and it may or may not have the 50th anniversary bolt- I don't know which rifle you have), then you can use it. The laser works as a barrel band.

Why does lasermax 10/22 not fit on this rifle? Their add states this.
Hello from another Mainer.. I never thought of a Lasermax for my New 10/22 but I will check it out since you peaked my interest! :)

I have seen some people say the batteries for Lasermax 10/22 are expensive. I purchased 4-lithium 1/3 N shipped today from "zorro" for $1.65 each and $5 shipping. I have seen battery life from 2-4 hours listed. Will find out.
