Does anyone have a value for a 1966 made Ruger Bearcat pistol in great looking condition, never converted with a holster (probably not Ruger) and original box and some paper work? I sent it back to Ruger for an alignment problem. They offered me a free replacement which seems strange, unless its purely for a safety recall.

Welcome to the forum.

One thing is certain, its value for collectors will certainly be diminished with its conversion.

I've heard a story about them doing that once before with a collectible unconverted revolver. Makes you wonder...

A local pawn shop has a 1970 Bearcat... Bore looks pristine, no box, a nick on top and one on the barrel, overall probably 90% condition. The tag says $560, but I believe I can get it for $400.
