I recently got my late fathers .357 Magnum Blackhawk (late 60's era) from my sister to take it out and shoot. We co own it as it means a lot to both of us.
The base pin and base pin latch were stuck as well as the rear elevation screw was missing.
I contacted Ruger and after free shipping it came back repaired with a new base pin, base pin latch and spring and rear elevation screw and with a complete bill of health in just two and a half weeks.
There is by far no better company out there!

It was the second handgun I ever fired. First one was dads single six. Last time I fired his Blackhawk was probably 40 years ago with him before he passed.

The gun pictured is a new model with two pins as opposed to an old model with three screws. Ruger didn’t start making these until 1973. Still a great story, and a great gun.

Yes. I had since looked into the manufacture year by serial number. it's a 1973 model. I thought I remember my father having it earlier than that, but, I was just a kid.

That is a fact!
Anytime you have firearm cherished and used by a late family member brought back to life and safe working order is priceless. Not many people get a chance to pass down or receive a treasure and keep it in the family. The connection is a good one and I hope you get to enjoy it.
*Ruger customer service continues to amaze me when it comes down to treating customers well.
