Had my Model 96 for quite a while, didn't use it much as the trigger pull was just terrible. Took it to a supposed gunsmith around five years ago and was told there was nothing he could do with it. So it sat in the back of my safe not being used.
A month ago I talked to a Gunsmith at Corlanes sporting goods in Dawson Creek BC. he told me to bring it in and he would fix it up. So now my Model 96 has a 2.5 lb. trigger pull, and is it ever a beauty to shoot. This rifle is very accurate and a pleasure to use.

Not to sure why Ruger would send these rifles out of the factory with a trigger you almost have to kick to get it to shoot. Anyway now I am happy, oh yeah $80.00 for the trigger job.
