Found a Ruger P89TH on Gunbroker and luckily it was at a local pawnshop.
They wanted $360+ tax but I had cash so got it for $300+tax out the door for the P89TH + 1 15-round Ruger Mag.
Finally able to get it to the range and try this out - no cleaning! Just did some light oil drops on the slide and internals.
I've also got a P89 so I have a bunch of mags for it so the first pic shows my soft case with 5 stainless Ruger 15 round mags.
First 2 sets were 5 clips of 15 rounds, 15 yards, 124 Grain Magtech (cheap stuff) so 75 shots per target.
Next, I moved closer and did 50 rounds, 124 Grain Magtech, 9 yards.
Not rapid fire, about 1-2 seconds per shot (our range doesn't allow rapid fire)
I am definitely liking this gun! I am sure I'll get better with it as I shoot it more.
Pic #4 below shows the Ruger Proof Mark -- I am not sure if this gun went in for repairs.
I had to replace the grips with a new set of Hogue grips. The old ones were smooth and tacky.
When I replaced the grips, the old ones had gummed up and seemed melted.
I think someone was over-zealous on cleaning and melted the grips. The new Hogues feel much better on it!
