I'd be surprised if that was next since they just released the LCR 327 and already have the 4" Sp101 327. I'm guessing we might see a GP100 327 or maybe 9mm SP101 but that is total speculation.

I hear a rumor that a particular distributor is having Ruger make a run of 3" SP101s in 327 Magnum. Perhaps as early as Januarys Shot Show they will be released. I hope that rumor is true as I have a good source.

I hope this is comes to fruition! I am glad to see the LCR in .327 - but I was hoping it would be the X-version. To me - the school solution for .327 is to bring back the SP-101 in 3-in - and as far as that goes - bring back the 9mm version too.

I am in the process of getting a spare .357 cylinder and having it rechambered if it fits one of my SP's. It would be much nicer to just have a dedicated 9mm along with a .327 ... :)

I have a 2" Taurus 327, and a 7.5" Single Seven. I will be buying a LCR-327, and I would also buy a 3" SP101-327 if new ones were offered. I like that the 3" SP101 can be carried easier than the new 4" SP101-327. I wanted another revolver in 327, but just couldn't find a place in my collection for the 4". I don't need a trail gun, that's where the 4" SP101 fits in. The 2" LCR makes a great deep concealment gun, but a 3" LCR or SP101 would be ideal for all around use. Just my opinion...

Can anyone tell me if the 327 version of the SP 101 will fit in the standard holsters for the 357 versions?

Don't see why not... Same overall frame & cylinder dimensions (or close enough to make no difference), so it should fit.

I have both guns that share holsters and am not aware of any dimensional differences except the rear sight on the 327, which is not prominent enough to cause problems with any of my holsters.
