So I took the time to slug the bore on my SRH a few days ago and took some gap measurements while I was at it. Feeler gauges read .006-007" b/c gap on all six chambers, with about .001-002" of endshake. All within spec as I understand, so...yay.

The bore slug measures .453" at the deepest groove (largest slug diameter), though, which is a bit more than I expected. Cylinder throats measure a bit over .454", which I suppose is appropriate relative to the bore diameter? My understanding with this is that I should get lead bullets sized .454" for best accuracy, which is a bit hard to come by without requesting custom work (or, of course, taking up bullet casting). I'd love for someone to correct me if I'm going astray. I'd also like hearing how my measurements compare with what others have found for this caliber?
