Last month I purchased a MK2 Gov't Target 6 7/8 from my local gun shop. Used but in great condition. I love the way it is however I've been trying different grips and now have it out for a trigger job. BTW, I like a pair of factory wood un-checkered grips I found online and the Volquartsen Volthane grips equally for different reasons.

For a little more variety at the range (and just because), I'd like to get a basic "starter" scope (and mounts). I've been looking into a mount model that does not require drilling. It is made by Weigand (I've seen it on the rimfiresports.com website).

Does anyone have experience with this type of mount? What type of scope suits you best on the MK II? This will be my first scope for a pistol. I do have one with a Weaver on my 10/22 and love being able to switch between the fixed sights and the scope. I don't think this is possible with a pistol (especially the non-drilled mount which uses the rear sight for mounting).
