I have been looking for a set of new grips for my security six and I think I like these Pachmayrs. The factory target grips are OK with light loads but beak y finger up with heavy loads.

I put those Presentation grips on my Sec-Six, and use their Gripper on my GP-100. I don't agree with those on the Net who disparagingly call rubber grips "Goodyears."

They're more likely to fit Ruger frames well than are wood or other grips and soften recoil effect & don't scuff or dent like wood or crack like ivory.

The "Six" series Rugers are awesome revolvers but I agree the factory grip panels (stocks?) leave a bit to be desired. I really like the Pachmayr Gripper on my Service-Six's but just use a Tyler T-grip adaptor on my Speed-Six.

The Presentation grips that the OP has on his Security-Six is actually a very good "target" grip.
