My opinion only. If you aren't comfortable with a Glock with a chambered round, you just aren't comfortable with a Glock with a chambered round.
Either carry it unchambered (not recommended0
Or buy a different gun you are comfortable carrying a chambered round in (recommended)

I vote unchambered, because I'd never throw a loaded gun in the trash. ;)

Chambered, Glock or any other auto loader.
My G30SF and P365 are my only EDC striker guns, and they both get carried with a round chambered.

Chambered and worn with a good holster that covers the trigger. The biggest risk of a negligent discharge on any firearm is during the holstering process.

An unchambered Glock is just a very poor hammer.

At least with a loaded mag it has enough weight to be effectively thrown at someone.

Load it and leave it on the bench with a round in the chamber for a week or so to see if it's one of the well raised ones.
If it hasn't gone off on it's own in the meantime it's as safe to be out in public with as YOU are.

For a few dollars you can get and easily install the Glock NY1 or NY2 trigger spring and boost that 5lb pull to an 8lb or 11lb with a double action revolver feel. OR buy the 8lb connector to retain that same crisp factory trigger feel.
