I am a member of the shooting range in the town next door.
The cost is $200 year.
I provide my own ear protection etc.

Its open dawn to dusk, but sometimes they have competitions on the weekend.
I think lack of access to ranges really hurts the shooting sports. I am worried that someday when I retire that I will move to an area that doesn't have a range.

My club has 6 ranges, 3 rifle up to 500 yrds, 2 pistol and 1 shotgun. Yearly dues are 75$. NRA membership required (liability insurance) gate key provided, 24 hour shooting. For membership you have to be recommended by a current member, show up at a monthly meeting and submit to an evaluation by the present membership before a vote. Also, a range orientation is required before a gate key is mailed to you. We have 900+ members.
Full auto is definetly not allowed.

Yes, I am a member.

How much are your annual dues?
$120 per year. Dues went up 50% this year ... some members are grumbling. Not me.

How much do you have to pay per hour as a member?
No hourly fee.

How much do you pay for eye and ear protection?
I bring my own. But we do sell eye protection for $3 ... and ear protection for 50 cents.

How much do you pay for targets?
I bring my own. We sell them ... but I do not remember the price.

Are you happy with your membership?
Very much so. I'm at the range several times a week ... always looking for excuses to go more often.

$129 initial fee and then $100/year after that plus we must maintain our own NRA associate membership at a minimum. This price covers anyone that lives under your roof.

We can stay for a minute or all day.

Bring my own ears and eyes.

I bring my targets however there is a stack of targets at the indoor range and its a .25 cent donation to the club for 5 targets. Payment is on the honor system.

I just got my key and membership card and have gone twice in the past week and so far so good. The 3 outdoor ranges are great. They now have a total of 12 lanes indoors The only thing I don't like is the indoor range is not 24/7 access like a range that is a bit too far away from me to drive to regularly. And another thing that I was not too happy about when I was on the indoor range was it was not venting well. I have been there as a guest a few months ago and it was fine, I'm guessing this past trip was because I was there on a Saturday and people had been shooting inside all day.

I am, my range is five miles from my house. It has three covered ranges, a five hundred range w/two lanes, a 100yrd rifle range w/seven lanes, and a 50yard pistol range w/four lanes. I have the combination to the gate and come and go as I please.

My favorite range, an outdoor range, which I am a member of, charges a membership fee of $140 for 14 months. They have a very good reason for the 14 months at a time thing, but I won't go into that here.

There is no per hour charge. Sometimes I'll only be there for an hour, but sometimes I'll be there for several hours.

I have my own eye and ear protection, but they have plenty on hand, that can be borrowed at no cost.

I usually bring my own targets, but they have a big selection, that are available by just putting a contribution in the kitty.

I am VERY happy with my membership.

Index

They always have several Range Officers on duty. And they insist that you abide by their rules. Doesn't matter to me. I feel safe there.

• Annual dues are $125/yr with an additional $25 or $50 (brain lapse) for the initial year.

• No per hour fees. It's all you can shoot for the duration of the membership.

• Bought them all years back. In all combined, might have $100 in it all.

• Targets = cost free. Print out my own paper ones, backing boards if needed are free at work, stand for those I made from scrap at work and any smaller plinking steel targets are from scrap at work. Maybe a roll of tape a yr, if that, is all the target costs I have.

Nearest club here is a 50 minute drive, $185 a year and you "help out" for three weekends. Too far and too much for me.

I have a Forest Service range a half hour away for free. Or a $10 an hour indoor range ten minutes away that I avoid. Beat up, and run by arrogant Billy-Bob "know-it-all" types.

$55 a year. We have some steel targets and target boards to tack up targets. Of course, you bring everything else (guns/eye and ear protection/targets/etc) . Rifle to 800 yards, four pistol/revolver areas, and a silhouette range for those who want to shoot chickens, pigs, rams....

$300/year for a beautiful, modern, spacious indoor range with no wait time.
Free per hour for member and half-price ($9/hour for guests)
Free eyes and ears.
I never buy targets there.
Very happy with my membership.
