I bought a Mark III Hunter with HiViz front and V shape rear
sight. I would like to change these into the "Target" Square
Notch and Patridge rear for Target work. I went to the Ruger
site and even called there customer service. She says they only
seel the HiViz sights as replacements. I can't undertand that
since this is the most common form of sights for target.
Can anybody help me where to get regular target sights that will
fit my Ruger Mark III? Thanks..

If all you want are the 'older style' Ruger target adjustable sights, call them back and just ask for a set of sights for a Mark II, tell them you had a scope on it and need the "missing sights", front and rear. Modify or alter the front blade to whatever configuration you want, flat ( Patridge) ramp or leave it like the 'can opener' style them come in.........
If they ask you the serial number of your gun ( the socalled "mark II"), give them a number like 222-12345, in other words "lie"........

Wonder if there is anyone around that would like to trade you even up? I don't have the MKIII or II but would consider if I did. Those Hi-Viz sights help if you have old eyes---
