I loved Bill Waterson's, "Calvin and Hobbes". I have every book that he made in the series. In fact, my sister bought me the collector's edition (in hardback and case) love them all.

Very sad day when he retired.

Ditto. I discovered Calvin and Hobbes back in 1987, and I have every book Bill Watterson ever brought out on them. Even now, they're still hilarious! As I recall, Watterson was upset that newspaper comics kept getting smaller in size, and this was a big reason he quit the strip in protest. I get the impression he's somewhat reclusive, also.
