I recently polished the internal trigger parts and bobbed the spur on my hammer. I noticed that my cylinder locks up just as the hammer is falling. I check 2 SPs in a shop the other day (1 stock and 1 Gemini custom) and both have a small but perceptable amount of trigger travel after the cylinder locks and before the hammer is released. Should I replace my hammer dog or pawl to try and remedy this or is it reliable as is?

I would say you are OK. Actual full lock up is when the hammer is down and the trigger held back after firing. Then you check for end play and looseness. There will be a little but not sloppy. If you think it's to much you will have to check the clearnesses on the cylinder. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
