I've owned a heck of a lot of S&W's in my close to 60 years of shooting, so I am a little biased. That said, I had an SP101 that I liked. A friend of mine liked it more and bought it from me. Now I have a S&W Model 60 with 3" full underlug barrel. For a J-frame, it has an unusually good trigger, both single and double action. If it was the only J-frame I own or have owned, I'd say it was way better than a 101. Truth is, I've had some small frame Smiths with pretty lousy triggers. Forget about who thinks this or that one is better. If you like it, shoot it and enjoy it. They are fine little revolvers.
