I've never messed with the grips on my SR1911. I was cleaning it this afternoon and noticed the grip was loose. It looks like a part of the grip retention screw (?) is missing. Is this something that can be ordered and replaced? Or is it something I'd need to send it back for? I have put about 1800 rounds through it, without a complaint.

Remember a little blue Loctite is your friend. Holds well and can be taken apart when required . Hope that helps.

I'd be willing to bet if you called Ruger CS and told them your story they'd just ship you a new one/two for free.

I think it would cost them more to process a purchase of two screws than what they'd make on the sale.

Just my guess, though.

You might want to get a couple #60 orings to use as washers. Let's you avoid locktite and works fine.
