What ammo do you find to be the most accurate in the SR9 for target shooting?

Before I started reloading I tried Rem. UMC, Blazer Brass, Tulamo, WWB and Fed Champion. I think the Federal Champion shot about as good as any thing else and was the cheapest except for the Tula. I think my reloads shoot better then them all.

There is no one perfect ammo for any caliber that works best in all guns. Never has been.

Quality ammo is always better than junk/cheap stuff. Since you're doing 'target' work, then some ammo labeled 'Match' is the place to start.

Guns are all individuals and what's gets that last 10% in one gun might very well be junk in another.

I wouldn't expect perfection from an SR9 with any ammo because that's not what is was designed and built for. Just be aware of that and don't blame the gun if it isn't the tack driver you want it to be.

I get my best grouping with factory ammo in 115. with my reloads with 125 or 147 gr lead i can really dial it in.

I don't think ammo is going to be a factor at all if that's what you are wanting to do. The ammo and the SR9 are both way more inherently accurate than is necessary to do that. All that is needed is for the shooter to be skilled enough.

If your SR9 will shoot Tula, or Blazer or American Eagle, or whatever is cheap that day, by all means buy it and shoot it.

i dont, I shoot cheap stuff and use good ammo for sd.

I shoot Blazer Brass and Fiocchi. I've found that the Fiocchi ammo tends to leave my gun cleaner and seems to typically be a hotter load. Blazer Brass is easier to stock up on.

For the range I use either Winchester White Box or Federal. My carry ammo is either Hornady Critical Defense or Hornady Critical Duty.

+1 for paper. A little different for SD. Winchester White Box 115gr fmj at Wally for $23.95/100. They shoot very well in my SR9c and LC9. Federal HydraShok 135gr (also from Wally) for self defense.

+1 on this. See what shoots the best for you and what you like. Its always going to be different strokes for different folks. Seems like we are beating a dead horse on this question. No offense, of course!

I have found to like the Winchester white box 100 ct and have left it at that.

I used several but stay with federal champion. Seems to be the most accurate.
