i think 115gr or 124gr hollow point. but also, accuracy plays a big role too. 2-3 9mm rounds at crucial spots pretty much bring down most of the bad guys.
just my opinion :)

I was given the opportunity in the summer of 2011 to acquire a box of Federal 147 gr. Tactical...it came in a box of 50 and it is very accurate in my SR9c. The expansion is right at .740. I feel this is the best ammo for my SD preventive needs.

124 grain: Remington Golden Saber, Speer Gold Dot, Federal Hydra-Shok ... generally any premium round.

Shot placement is king and a hit with anything is better than a miss with, well ... anything. Practice, practice and then practice some more.
