I see lots of threads about the SR9c holsters, but not about the full size SR9.

Anyone have any opinions on this holster?

Galco Holster - Ruger SR9 Cop 3 Slot - Right Hand, Black - CTS484B FREE S&H CTS484B. Galco Holsters.

This wouldn't be for concealment (obviously).

I've also read other holsters for certain Glocks fit the SR9 but I can't recall which.

I prefer a holster with a higher rise and a thumb strap.

My SR9 is held by a Blackhawk Serpa Holster. Its very adjustable, comfortable to wear and and hold the firearm very secure. The SR9c will fit the same holster.

Carey have you not had any issues with the release button and it getting dirt/sand etc in it? I've heard if it gets dirty it won't release the gun.

I 've had no problems at all. As with all equipment it should be cleaned and maintained.
