Not sure if its been discussed but has anyone else found any particular ammo works in these gums better than the rest? For mine it seems to be 124g loads but I have not tried 147g and wondered if any brands made big differences. I know my few FTF's were with WWB 115g and had either ejection problems or limp wrist problems with Federal white box 115 shooting one handed. I've never once had any problems with the Hornady 124 XTP but that's way to expensive to shoot paper with other than to get familiar with them. I'm mostly looking for USA made Ammo that is quality while also not breaking the bank. Preferences are JHP and 124g and surplus ammo is fine since cost is an issue. Since this is my EDC I refuse to shoot Tula or Wolf because I'd just as soon not damage my barrel trying to forcefully extract a broken shell. Id also like to purchase in large quantities rather than buying an ammo can and a few dozen boxes for bulk discounts.

Opinions of my local friends are all over the map but very few, actually just one, have the Ruger for a true comparison in this gun and he swears by Remington HD. I was looking at Speer, Magtech, or PMC for price per round or even Winchester Winclean because I've noticed a large majority of the time if I have the rare reset issue its because there is a TON of powder between the body and the trigger linkage. So those that have shot a few thousand rounds through these guns and have really compared the brands and load sizes through them, please share your experience. Thanks in advance for any info.

I've run everything except the steel cased round thru my SR9c without problems (more than 2000 round so far.)

I always clean it after a range trip, even if I shoot only a few rounds. I've cleaned the striker channel twice and always clean behind the trigger bar.

(My opinion is that many of the issues with the trigger not resetting have to do with bent or dirty trigger bars.)

My ruger SR9c has eaten everything I have fed it, Federal champion and Hydra Shok, Rem UMC, Winchester WB, Tula (actually one of the most accurate of the bunch but dirty as hell!) I prefer Federal round here cuz its cheap and readily available and shoots clean and accurate. I use Tula for cheap range fun and have never had a problem.

I shoot 115g ammo and the gun is as smooth as ever...I don't clean it after every range trip, I do however run a bore snake through it a few time and do a thorough cleaning every few trips to the range depending on amount of ammo I put down range

I never had a huge issue with any weight or brand ammo.

it doesn't like the big hot stuff like the Double Tap +p 165gr 9mm stuff but honestly the only pistols I own that'll eat them are my Hk's (P30L, SK, USP) and my Beretta M9.
