I just bought my Ruger SR9c this morning, was testing mag release on one side worked fine. While testing mag release on the other side, it got "pushed through". Magazine release is now, loose and does not engage the mechanism that releases the magazine. The magazine is now stuck in the gun and cannot be removed. The button is loose and slides through, although it does not come off of the gun. It just kinda hangs there. Taking it back to the store in the morning, but any advice?

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear you're having problems right away. Before you mess with anything, make sure the gun is unloaded and magazine is empty. The parts list for the SR9c is on pages 40 and 41 and the diagram is on page 42 of the manual. The latch is part #39 and the spring is part #38. Pivot pin is #54 and thumbpiece is #55. Sounds like the spring or pin is missing. Might try a piece of wire or paperclip in place of the pin if it's missing. Other than that, you're absolutely right about taking it back to the store. If they can't fix it there, Ruger has allways been excellent with customer service and making things right. You can try to call them tomorrow but they probably won't be open until Monday or even Wednesday.
