thinking about getting one. Anybody have any experience with them? It's a solid piece, and the same model Beretta made until they moved the factory.

There was a write up in the newest Shooting Illustrated on it. They said it was a pretty decent gun for the price. Can't remember how many rounds were fired, but no malfunctions.

believe they are the old beretta couger design mdl 8040. I got to try a few rounds thru a dao version. Very comfortable and great pointer, the dao stroke while smooth was long, long, long.

Well, my friend has one and I shot it last week and I liked it. It is based off the Beretta 8000 Cougar. The only diffrence is the Beretta had a little nicer finish, all in all it is a nice gun. Groups well from 5 yards to 25 yards.

Hi! I got my Cougar for almost 4 years now, put 1000ths of rounds through it and I'm still waiting for the first failure or misfeed! It has never let me down. But: because it has a short barrel, the acuracy above 25 meters is so-so.
