Hi Guys,
I was shooting my new Ruger 10/22 with a new Tasco Red Dot. I've had this red dot for a few years but have never mounted it on anything.

So after my range session (~300 rounds), I went home and noticed that the red dot was leaning to the right. I straightened the mount at home but can't help but notice that the clamps on the left side of the sight doesn't really engage the angled underside walls of my power custom weaver mount.

By contrast here is the right side of the mount.

So is this a defective clamp on this Red Dot and is this a known issue?

I called Tasco earlier this week and they sent me a couple of new clamps but they're exactly the same kind and don't get a full contact on the power custom mount.

Is this a known issue with these low-end red dot sights?

Seeking your input. Thanks in advance!

try removing the mount and turn it over. i have another brand red dot that is designed to fit both mounts--dovetail and weaver. hope this works on yours!
