GarretJ, it's been over a month since this thread started; did you even decide to pick up the SP101 4" in .327 FM?
So far, no. I ended up stumbling across a .30 Carbine Blackhawk for sale locally that I bought. So I have been playing around with that lately.

Which doesn’t mean I won’t get an SP101. I’m still kicking that idea around, as it would serve a different purpose. So, maybe eventually...

Oh, .30 Carbine Blackhawks are great! I love mine.

That would definitely be priority over something you can order from the factory.

I was going to order a SP101 .327 Fed in 3" - but ran across a S&W 632 (J-frame in .327 Fed, 3" ported barrel) for a reasonable price at a gun show... reasonable considering what they go for in online auctions.

24.5 oz vs 27 oz for the SP101... must of the difference being in the barrel.
So that's the companion to my Henry .327 Fed carbine.

I'll finally get to shoot them this weekend. I hope.

I wish Ruger would make the 327 SP101 with the 2.25" barrrel.

Just realized I didn't post pics.
Yes, it does have the ever-to-be-cursed lawyer-lock!

Fired it a couple of weeks ago - firm but still-pleasant recoil (Federal .327Fed 100gr JSP), very controllable thanks to the ported barrel.

The Henry was great fun as well, worked perfectly with both the Federal 100gr .327Fed and Federal .32H&R 100gr SWC.
