Just finished watching the first installment of "The War"...I'm feeling awed at what they went through and just how many died for us...I was born in '49 and never had a clue what our men and women went through for us...now most of them are gone and I can't express my thanks to them...I will stand ready to give my life for my country and my neighbors if it comes to us here...I will help those that I can help, and I will be thankful for what we have in this country because of their service and sacrifice...they did so much with often so little...we should do what we can to keep their America strong and free...and teach our boys what it took to give them what they enjoy now.....I heard as a boy one story from the Bataan Death March that I won't repeat here...I've never been able to forget it...the unbelievable cruelty of a godless mind......

They surely were the "greatest generation." I fear that we may never see their like again, at least not in so many numbers.
