Two days ago, I go out and did some shooting with my ,new to me SP101 Willey Clap , 4" GP100 and 1754 Match Champion with new Novak adjustable sight
I shot three loads , all in 38 spl cases but not your fathers 38 spls. The WC shot the Elemer Keith 358429CHP/2400 load quite nice 2"X4" group off hand at 20 yards , well centered and 2" above POA.
The 4" GP100 was a rescue gun from GB. It apparently had been dropped and broke off 1/2 the rear sight blade and damaged the front blade some. Not a problem , out can spare parts and new rear blade and front sight of the same height dropped right in. The 4"GP , after a sight adjustment shot everything good. The 358429 loads do about 1150 out of the 4" barrel and the +P 38 do about 950-1000 all shot well , considering i had not shot for a year due to health reasons. The MC was good because I could adjust the rear sight for a 6 O clock hold and not any hold off. However, the MC did not group as well with all three loads as the GP100 Rescue did ? I was surprised and will have to do some more work to see what the MC likes on another day. All in all it was a good day to be out in the sun and make some loud noise.
Sorry I do not have pictures to show. I do not have a hosting website at this time.

I just got a 1754 MC and was shooting some plated wadcutters 140 something grain and was ok. Threw in some 158 gr FMJ reloads I got in bulk and it shot REAL good. All shots at 7 yards off hand DA. I think the MC likes a heavier bullet ( I don’t reload and I know very little about these type things)

I upload pics directly from my phone. Pics taken with my real digital camera are uploaded to my laptop. I post here on the laptop when I want to include those photos. No hosting site is needed.

Ok, I'll try and explain it. Below your posting area you see like 19 icons. Tap the one that looks like a picture. You might need to tap twice. A box will pop up that says drag or drop pictures here. In parentheses it says (click here). Do that, then just go to where your phone stores your phone pictures. Tap on the picture and it should post to your thread post.
I don't think I missed anything ... good luck, let me know!
