No personal experience, but I have heard good things.

Another option would be the American Classics. I have one just for a "fun" gun, and I'm impressed for the price.

My brother bought a stainless one several months ago. He's brought it to the range with me twice. Shoots to poa and the triggers not bad. The only thing I've seen is that the rear of the frame/grip where the grip safety is must not be cut as deep as most 1911's. After shooting it a while it starts to "pinch" the web of your hand between your thumb and index finger. Two spots on both sides of the grip safety. Nothing that would make you stop shooting but it does leave a couple of "racing stripes" on the palm of your hand. Other than that it seems well put together.

My son in law bought one a year ago from Buds and it has been flawless. I'm actually impressed.
