Ever since I've started collecting P series, I've always wanted an adjustable sight on one. Well after some conversations with @Tacky I set the plan in motion to put a red dot on my P89. Mount is from EGW and the red dot is a Burris FastFire 3. Took some fitting but I finally got it down to where I could drift the mounting plate dovetail in. I'm pretty happy with the final outcome.

Nice work! You are going to like what it does. 2 trips to range. One to zero and build comfort.... then the next one you will choot so well, you will never want to go back to irons. Maybe. That's what happened to me at least. I did go back to irons though.

Nice job on the smithing. If you have normal eyes you will love the dot.
Define normal eyes ... 🤓 , I've started wearing clip on cheaters so I can see the front sight clearly. Not sure if I'll need them with this red dot. Stay tuned ...

Good job smithing rmichael ... Now do you take walk-ins or do I need to set up an appointment ??? :ROFLMAO: (y)
I think those lunch time break's are going to be sweeter
Definitely want a range report ... And nice job 👍
I'll check with my personal assistant and see if he allows walk ins ...

Only 3 bits of "advice", I would offer, either use a laser bore site, or start with your instinct draw point shot as ref. And lastly, and this may actually be just me, when you do go back to irons, if you use a "combat" hold, the "tansition" is easier.
I didn't think about the bore sighter, I'll have to dig mine out.

Worked really well for me. Strangely, I tested it on my already proven 92fs, and the sights, and my crimson trace lasers, were right where they were supposed to be. It made the money spent on the bore sighter worth it. I had never thought of using it on a pistol until someone here on the forum mentioned it
