Have a 28 year old Ruger M77 Mach II ..270 ..that i deer hunt with .I am 73 years old and finding it harder for me to hold on target as I squeeze off a round.Love my hunting with a passion and want to continue. My question is
can a softer trigger spring be installed safely and keep me hunting longer..thanks fellow hunters

It won't be as simple as a lighter spring, but you do have options. Timney Triggers is one of the leading aftermarket suppliers of replacement triggers. They offer an upgrade kit for Ruger M77 Mkll that costs $135.00. They claim it provides a crisp 3lb pull and no gunsmith is required for installation. The website shows the item currently on backorder, but available for pre-order. Hopefully someone here with this combination will chime in with their experience. Good luck with many more years afield with your rifle.
