Any suggestions for making a trigger stop for an SP101? I have achieved a very smooth trigger action on my 3" SP101. The only thing that is missing is that there is still a some excess rearward travel in the trigger pull beyond where the sear releases the hammer both when firing DA and SA.

My S&W revolvers have next to 0 excess rearward travel once the hammer is released, and this is very comfortable to shoot.

Is there a good way to make a trigger stop for my SP?

Thanks a lot!

I've never done this before on a Ruger but on a S&W I've cut a piece of drill rod & put it inside the rebound slide like some factory N frames..
On the SP101 you could possibly do the same inside the trigger return spring as long as you could still break the revolver down as this is also the take down latch plunger..
If you go slow filing & grinding the drill rod down you could get it to be pretty close but would want a bit more over travel to keep from scraping the sear
