That's the reason Political Correctness has replaced Common Sense in our society.

I have to remind myself every day, there are those out there will test my patience with their lack of common sense, but I need to look past their shortcomings. What gets me the most is how I am the one that is out of touch according to them.

and then throw in a pinch of patience. I made the mistake of praying for patience once. God, with His great sense of humor, gave me endless opportunity to practice to learn to be patient. I wanted it granted to me, and right now, but got all that practice instead.

And all you can say is, Amen, thank you for giving me the chance to be a better, wiser, and more patient person :)

Truer words were never written.

If "common sense" was truly common, I'd be out of work. A good 80% of my clinical work involves treating people for self-inflicted disorders. Sometimes it's obvious - like the genius who used a circular saw to cut a board that was resting on his thigh - and sometimes it's a little more obscure, like a stroke from untreated hypertension.
