Brass receiver with octagon barrel at my LGS. I'm thinking that it is a 20" barrel. Brooklyn NY stamped on the barrel meaning it is at least 10 y/o as the factory is now in NJ. It does have a few cosmetic bumps and scratches, I'm okay with that. So what concerns should I have? I see a few small rust spots on the barrel and mag tube, nothing a little elbow grease and know how will correct. Anything else I should be concerned about? The action was smooth, but I did not look at the rifle extensively, really not sure what all I need to be looking at on a Henry or in general on lever action rifles. $345.

I had previously piggy backed this same info on another thread, figured I'd put it out there for others to view and comment on.

The action is smooth. Shine a light down the bore. If it looks good, you're good to go. Not much to go wrong with a Henry.
