Howww Lou! I really love see this kind of game.
Here (ltaly) if you only think to have something similar, you get a small dark fresh room with a thick door without any handle in the inside, bred and water for several decade for free.
During our lockdown I loaded all the .308win brass I have, but at the re-opening I couldn’t resist this siren Ruger PR.
Now I'm looking to find the right Rcbs insert die in .338 Lapua Magnum to start a new reloading adventure
100 38 wadcutters - all over 3.5 gr W231, a load I used 30+ years ago when I last reloaded. Just getting back into it with a new Lee press, powder measure, and now, factory crimp dies. Hornady 148gr HBWC's on the right. The "funny lookin" ones on the left are 50 Alberts 146gr Hydroshocks - from a full unopened box I found in my basement. Duplicated a favorite load I had written down in old documentation. The HS used to open to about .60" in the second or third gallon milk jugs from a 4" S&W 10 and my 2" model 60. Still should. Anxious to get out and try them out, now in my GP100, and my soon-to-arrive LCR.
Some time ago a friend gave me a box of 500 polymer coated flat nose .308 bullets. I didn’t want them to go to waste, so over time I’ve experimented with loads for 30-30 and 30-06.
I’ve used published load data to make reduced charge loads with rifle powers. I’ve also tried “the load” with Red...
I've decided to research reloading five-five-six.
What I don't care to do is continuous case trimming.
I've discovered RCBS X-Dies, anybody here use this set? If so, would you mind sharing your thoughts?
"The patented X-Die eliminates the need for repeated trimming after an initial case trim...
In my limited 35 years of handgun reloading, I've prolly rolled 10K rounds in 4 different cartridge/calibers. But until recently never planned, or had an inclination to load rifle.
Was reading a article in the "Blue Press" about dedicating a single cartridge as a head-space gauge for setting up...
I thought I'd go to the range today and try out a few loads from John Linebaugh's article.
I was looking for something with a little more power than Unique. I loaded up some of his recipes using 260 cast and A2400, 19 grains through 20.5 grains & 260 cast using HS-6, 13 grains through 15 grains...
