A cheap Green Dot sight that I saw on a youtube video arrived last night. It has a Picatinny mount and is apparently an RMR format base (in case I ever get something that it will fit). It slid right on to the rail of my Mk II with the longer term plan being that it gets tried on my Mossberg JM 930 Pro. I had a different sight on that 930 before but it was a higher profile and didn't allow much of a cheek weld.
It would appear that color has no effect on my astigmatism and the green 'dot' looks like a short, fuzzy diagonal line, ascending from low left to high right ... just like the red one did. but under most lighting conditions it is still quicker to pick up than iron sights. We will see how the testing goes.
Won another .22 rifle on auction, this one a Model 70 Glenfield. I'll post pics after I pick it up which won't be for a couple weeks until I have to go to the city.
Unfortunately, I haven't bought anything gun related over the past few months. I usually buy at least some ammo each month, but I'm having to repair my Pool equipment. Filter system started going south late last summer. Once I get that taken care of, and a few other issues, just as expensive, I'll be back in the game. BTW, Good Tuesday to Y'all!
