In another thread, the discussion came up on how many people actually use a particular firearm for their primary defense tool. This is not your EDC, as the answer will be 99.9% handguns. But for your home/camp defense plan, what is the primary weapon that your plan is built around? I know many probably have multiple choices, but primary.

Thanks guys, this should be very interesting and I look forward to seeing the results.

There are not very many human induced problems that cannot be solved by a 12 gauge pump and a 5-gallon bucket of 00 buckshot and slugs. So, yeah, for me, my Mossberg 590A1.

My Gold Cup, I’ve only got 7 shots, but like Jeff Cooper said, you’re only under-gunned if you miss.........

Will pocket carry a Kimber Micro and Micro 9 or LCR 357 or SW 637 when the 45 ACP won't fit.

I can't say that I actually have a primary home defense firearm. It would be the one that's closest at the time.

Carry, Sig 365XL or a Glock 19. Home, Springfield XDm .45 or Ruger SP101 .357. If they haven't been lost in the canoe accident!

Home defense is either a Ruger GP100 (bedside table, in a safe) or a SIG P220 (hall table, in a safe).

For things that get past our 2 dogs. A full sized hi-cap 9mm within hands reach.
A cruiser ready 12 ga. pump for all else.
