My niece is fundraising for her HS Choir and asked me to buy some magazines. What are you opinions of the various magazines? I am thinking of buying some.

Oh Oh, I went to the last post to enter my comment above....before I saw the other references to publications...sorry.

I get American Hunter from the NRA, but have dropped all other firearms mags. I find them basically infomercials without any real merit anymore. I miss the 'old style gun ads from the before 1968 era, for mail order guns.

I like American Handgunner as well, and Guns & Ammo, and Shooting Times. Don't subscribe, though. I skim them on the shelf, and if there is an article that pertains to something I have or do, I buy it.

"Guns" is my favorite. Seems they have more on rimfires than the other mags.
