It's just not supposed to be like this in early October. It's 2:30 p.m. here and the temperature is 48 degrees. The sky has that dark gray look to it like it could snow. It's a little warm for that, but it sure doesn't feel like it with the North wind blowing. Tonight it's supposed to get down to the mid twenties. I doubt it if it stays cloudy, but it's for darn sure going to get cold. Makes me wonder what happened to the summer.

Well, I am from the great state of KY, but have been out west for 4 months or so. Last month, in Ketchum, ID it had already snowed in the mountains. Morning temps many times were in the 30s! Am in Wheatland, WY now and it was spitting snow today, and has snowed in the mountains, although they are waaaaay far away from where I am, but visable from here. This is the windiest stinking place I have ever been in my life! Better hold onto your wig or it will get blown away.

Highs in the low 80's, lows in the low to mid 70's here in the swamp. Y'all come on down. Had some gator tail, and swamp cabbage tonight for supper. Dang good too. Plenty of sweet tea. Don't get no better.

They tell me that the skeeters in the swamp are big enough to stand flat-footed and have sex with a turkey. :D:D Any truth in that?

Only the turkeys who love pain. I heard that the homies in Fla get an injection of Purple Martin blood when they get their driver's license-the mosquitos leave them alone-but tourists can't get it...I wonder if I get a Fla. CCW permit can I have one? I'd rather be shot than mosquito eaten.
