At what point did Ruger start putting the dull matte finish on the LCR .38spl aluminum frames? My older LCR has a nice, proprietary finish that polishes up nicely with a silicone cloth. The LCR I recently handled at a LGS had this dull, boring matte finish, something along the lines of what Taurus is putting on their newer M85's which looks wholly uninspiring.

I know that the steel frame LCR's always had a duller finish on them but the aluminum .38spl model did not, until recently. I imagine they did this in order to save money but of course, we the consumers don't see that savings on our end. The LCR's still cost about the same as they always have.

Sorry to say but this is disappointing and I expect better from Ruger at this price point.
