Hi guys I currently have a Ruger LCRX .38 Special snub. I have a few 3 inch holster’s that will fit either a 3 inch barreled Ruger SP101 .357 or a 3 inch barreled Ruger LCRX in .357. Knowing that very well that the SP101 is much more robust & weighs more about 26 ounces empty. The LCRX 3 inch .357 I’m guessing around 18-20 ounces empty. I am very familiar with the SP101 3 inch .357 had one liked it but a tad heavy for CCW for me. But ok for hiking and riding in my UTV. The LCRX 3 inch barreled .357 my primary thoughts are mostly standard pressure .38 Special’s & reloads. Then occasionally some .357 magnum loads but I don’t want to beat my arthritic hands with. With the SP101 primarily about the same diet of ammo. I feel comfortable shooting.38 Specials with no problems. My question here mostly concerns the LCRX guys that have this revolver how many rounds have you put through it and the revolver is still not showing any wear and tear??? My thoughts both guns would be used the same but probably more holster carry with the LCRX because of weight. Also with my usual shooting outings probably once or twice a month. I very much appreciate your feedback & thoughts & thanks in advance!!!
