For the more religious of us, why is the 45 refereed to as Gods caliber ... or is it the 1911? A friend just picked up a 1911 and he called it Gods caliber.

Unlike some lesser calibers when you shoot someone with one they will go to meet their maker. I have never heard that expression but suspect it has something to do with it's wartime service. Probably save many soldiers bacon and they thanked god they had it.

The coffee can of brass in my garage is labeled "AARP" due to my brother-in-law.

Most awesome thing I've only seen with a 45- steel plates at 50 yards with FMJ will drop quarter sized disks of lead. It's bizarre looking.
