Is there such a thing as a WiFi dish for getting a better signal? Our home in Ephrata is across the street from a school and they have a guest signal but its not strong enough to pick up.
That looks pretty much on the money.Depending on how close "across the street" is, an indoor with higher gain like the one in this vid might do:
Thanks, I'll check this one out.Depending on how close "across the street" is, an indoor with higher gain like the one in this vid might do:

I just need it for when I'm in Ephrata which is only part time so I don't want to pay a lot for a little use.Made one of these for a friend of mine who was down on his luck and had to tap into a free signal in his neighborhood. Seemed to work pretty good. Got him by until he could pay for internet again.
Well, you . . . could . . . try paying for what you use.303lithgow said:I just need it for when I'm in Ephrata which is only part time so I don't want to pay a lot for a little use.
I've looked into that but its expensive for what I use. When I was using it a lot I didn't mind paying but don't like paying for not using it.Well, you . . . could . . . try paying for what you use.
Why not use your cell phone as a wi-fi hot spot. Sprint only asks $10/week and they'll turn it on or shut it off whenever you want.Well, you . . . could . . . try paying for what you use.
The gas isn't offered for no charge but WiFi is...big differance. With that attitude, why not help yourself to the gas in the school busses or the heating oil in the tanks! Bandwidth is not infinate.
Why not just spend $60 once and use it whenever I want? Why not use your cell phone as a wi-fi hot spot. Sprint only asks $10/week and they'll turn it on or shut it off whenever you want.
Thanks, will do, and I have a few sporks myself.Google "wi-fi cantenna" These are directional antennas for long distances. You can get them pre made or there are many DIY tutorials to make your own very cheaply.
