When I was making grips, the New Vaquero came on the scene in 2005. I didn't have a gun to use for fitting so I called Ruger and purchased two dummy New Vaqueros from them. They take regular parts off the line and make up dummy guns. The guns are welded up in various places so they can not be made to fire or used for parts.

Below is a picture of those two dummy guns. When I asked to buy the guns, Ruger knew who I was and knew that I was a grip maker. I've had several customers call me to order a set of grips and they told me that Ruger gave them my phone number, so I guess Ruger liked my work.

I didn’t like my bronze Wrangler, so I sho ‘nuff don’t like this one. ;)

That's a 2002, not the 2014 right? If those are the grips I like, the Ruger branded holster is cool
