I just traded into a Single Six, .22 LR, called a baby Vaquero. I traded for it with the hopes of using it to train my spouse in Cowboy action shooting. I traded my LC9 for it as I did not need the LC9. The owner listed it as a special run revolver and had not shot it or even handled it. When I got it home, I saw the model number 00657 and catalog number as BNV-224-SI. Upon further investigation, I found that only about 600 of these revolvers were made by Ruger. The SI apparently means scrimshawed Ivory, and these guns were shipped to Accusport
in Ohio and Williams Shooter Supply in Illinois. They also made a five inch barrel version as well. These were made between 2001 and 2003. My serial number 268-23XXX was made in 2001.
My questions are these: Is this gun a collector? If so where would be a good place to list it for sale? How much do you think it is worth. Now I guess I need to find another single six for practice..LOL.
