Might want to consider the Halo Charging Ring from Tandemkross.

 

I also have the Halo charging ring. It is a solidly built accessory designed to make it easier to charge your pistol and it isn't going to protrude out to the side or get hung up on things. Tandemkross makes a lot of good things for your Ruger pistol.

Thanks for the link to the ring type charger. I kind of like the offset pull because I am a lefty and for some reason being able to clear a round or misfire with my right hand without undoing my left grip in a timed steel match seems to be a good thing. Not sure really since my pistol is 100% stock right now and I have only been shooting for a year. I just know that gripping the rack outside tomorrow am to clear a round when it’s going to be in the low 30’s is not going to be fun.

I guess nobody is using the offset rack slide?

 

Here is another vote for the Halo. I don't have the one you pointed too but as you have arthritis and the Halo works well for me.

 

I can see using the offset charging handle with regards to timed steel matches. But, for general purpose target shooting the ring style would be more advantageous. Might be using my 20% discount with the Ruger store to get their OEM logo ring. My wife finds it very difficult to grasp the bolt and rack it due to finger strength, plus she says the serrations hurt to squeeze. Would definitely help with our arthritis also.

Ruger's "OEM" ring is made by TandemKross and stated exactly that way on the ShopRuger web site. So buy it from which ever source has the better price.

The only "advantage" to buying from TandemKross is they offer it in either black or silver at the same price or red with a $10 upcharge.

 

IMO anything that is offset is not as good as direct line of pull.
Many custom gun smiths recommend putting your thumb over onto the other side of the slide on custom built open guns so as not to pull the slide sideways vs. straight back.
All that said to vote for the Halo type racker.

Another Halo vote here! Works great and makes a difference at the range, plinking or target shooting. But I would like to try that XL ontactical ->first time seeing it!

 

Well I am back from today’s steel match and there were about seven other mk IV’s of various types in my group of 17 guns used and they all had the halo charger except one target model that was bare like mine. So that may be the way I go. They must know what works and I certainly don’t have experience to say otherwise.

Still I would like to hear from anyone who might have tried the offset version depicted in the original post. eBay Seller says he has sold about 140+ of them so either he is lying �� or someone has tried one.

Have no idea who makes it and who else sells it. May even be better than the Halo because I haven't tried it. However I seriously doubt it. As someone mentioned the fact that it is offset instead of straight back would more than likely make it less so. Besides I have a feeling the chance you pull the gun itself to one side when trying to use it is more likely as well. When charging the bolt I think I would rather keep the gun pointed straight down range instead of pointing it to one side. Sure, you can still point it straight when using the offset pull, but I bet you will have a better chance in pulling it to one side than you will using something designed to pull the charger straight back.

Tandemkross makes the Halo and Ruger even sells it on their website so that kind of gives the Halo a distinct advantage in marketing over eBay anyway. I did a quick search on Google and I couldn't find it. Got a feeling Tandemkross sold much more than just 140. That doesn't prove it's better but imagine your more likely to see the Halo than you are to see that other thing. He doesn't have to necessary be lying but 140 doesn't necessarily mean he or the manufacturer of this device has cornered the market either.

 

I have this racker on my Mark IV 22/45 Tactical. It is extremely light weight, and having it on the right of the bolt, I believe it will offset the effect of the casing ejector as far as side movement. I haven't gotten to try any target shooting with it yet, hoping it will work well.
