Edit: im sorry i did this on my phone and didn’t see i made the thread in a non-ruger section. Sorry.

i cant decide but i might lean towardis just getting the volq trigger kit and installing it in my factory lower. Anyone here with a Cthulhu? i keep getting different figures on the weight, i really dont want to add a lot of weight to it especially if i get the volq mamba x 4.5 inch upper later on, Might be too heavy for me along with Cthulhu. I have weaker shoulder and arm muscles.

Your title indicates you are deciding between a Cthulhu lower or Volquartsen upgraded factory lower and then you mention you ma later get a volq mamba x 4.5 inch upper . If that is your plan why upgrade your factory lower.
I didn't have any experience with that but hopefully someone who does will chime in.
If you just don't like the polymer frame, that I do have experience with. I have had a Mk2 22/45 since the early 90's. It was my small game pistol for many years and was used for target practice by my kids, my grow grand kids and me. I have no idea how may rounds has been through it but it numbers in the 1000's. It still functions as well as the day I bought it.
This is coming from someone who doesn't like plastic guns.

Yeah i messed that up including where i wrote this thread. I’m not really against polymer but i do like the low weight of it. The Cthulhu just looks nice and solid but 4-4.5 ounces bump in weight will add up quite a bit for me i think. would be cool if volq made their own lower like the Cthulhu but a bit lighter, similar to the mk3 lower that they made for the scorpion.
i think the volq trigger kit also goes a bit lighter overall compared to the tandemkross trigger kit By at least half a pound. And if i get the mamba x 4.5 inch upper later, the polymer lower will help to keep the weight down.

Never heard of that C... company. My only review is rather limited. I got a new Vol... Extractor for my Remington #597 .22 WMR rifle and it solved probs it had been having, along with a few other things that I fixed. So, on that limited and probably irrelevant basis, I recommend the Vol...
