Can a EC9S zlide be illed to put night sights on this gun? And if so can you recommend a shop to xo the work?

Though I agree that the EC9s sight can be hard to pick up in low light conditions. Wouldn't it be easier to just get a LC9s?

After the labor cost to mill the slide, if possible, and cost of the night sights plus the labor for installing. I think you'd be up into the LC9s price range.

You could try some GLOW-ON night sight paint as an alternative.
I don't need a sight that glows but I want to add a dab of fluorescent nail polish to mine to see if it helps.

Easier to get a LC9s and start from there. Cost of a new platform is more effective than machining a new one unless you just want a project. Or as I did with my EC9s put some fluorescent nail polish on the front site and that improved site picture. I love my EC9s but our LC9s is much better because of the sites. Shop around and review your needs. A LC9s is still available in most areas at a good price.

I would agree that trying a dab of fluorescent nail polish on the front site would be an inexpensive first try for your EC9s. I applied a couple coats of traffic cone orange nail polish from wallyworld on the front site of my LCR and it is a big improvement, maybe not optimal, but works for me. Another option you might consider would be to install a laser sight. Even that should be cheaper than custom milling the slide to replace the current front site, which after completed might not turn out as good as one might hope.

Thanks guys. None of the store here in columbia sc sell the LC9S. Because it has t been ade in a few years. I would have to get one used. The ec9s that i have is the wife ccw and she keeps it in her purse so she needs a true saftey not just a fill good safety on the trigger. I cant tell you how many times i have looked into her purse and seen keys or something else that she could grab and pull out the would have fired the guy if it was just a trigger safety. That is the reason i dont uy her a glock or a LC9X Pro. I would like for her to have night sights as she works at the mall so e nights. I could get some other guy but she really likes this guy. So i need to mill and put sights on it or get a used slide or get ruger to sell me a ew slide. Will they even do that?

OP, I am a bit concerned with the way your wife is carrying in her purse. Even in a purse, it should be in a holster to prevent exactly what you just described, keys in the trigger guard. A safety is just that. What is to say that something hits the safety or friction on the side of the purse disengages the safety? There have been cases of guns firing from doing just what your wife is doing. I am not a huge fan of purse carry, but we all have to do what works for us. If she needs to purse carry, a CCW purse is a better bet, but I know they are expensive. I know my wife when she started carrying went through a lot of trials till she found what worked best for her. I am happy your wife is carrying but I really want her to be safe as well.
